J.LO has earned every single one of her muscles through sweat equity and strong will. Her moves and her diet tricks can be followed if you’ve got the resolve. The 53-year-old proves that we really can get better as we age. But to achieve that the actress has certain food rules and fitness routine she follows to stay fit and ageless.

The singer is a firm believer that her healthy diet is what keeps her looking and feeling good. ”What you eat doesn’t just affect your body; it can also affect the way your skin looks,” she told Hello!.

She Avoids Alcoholic Beverages and Caffeine.

”I haven’t had caffeine in years,” she once told US Weekly magazine in 2018 interview. Instead she gets all of her necessary nutrients by maintening a healthy diet.

Eating Leafy Greens And Cruciferous Vegetables

Those killer abs are built on fresh foods, carbs and high proteins. She often consume kale, broccoli, and spinach but not all vegetables are always on her plate. Her trainer and life coach Dodd Romero told US Weekly that she likes to steer clear of vegetables with higher amounts of naturally occuring sugar, including carrots and corn, among others.

— On top of a well-balanced diet, J.LO also makes sure to stay hydrated throughout the day. Her trainer and life coach, Dodd Romero, told US Weekly in 2019 that ”she drinks a minimum of seven glasses of water a day.”

— J.LO stressed the importance of getting enough sleep ( which she says is seven to nine hours for her) and how crucial it has been in achieving her youthful glow.

She Stays Away From Processed Foods

She stays away from processed foods and gets her nutrientd from whole sources, Dodd says. Which include, salmon, egg white, white meat turkey and chicken breast grass-fed beef. Chocolate chip cookie, which A-Rod once said is her guilty pleasure.

She Has a Personal Trainer Dodd Romero.

Lopez likes to get an exercise session in before taking the stage, Romero tells ”It’s her pre-game warmup”, her perfomances, of course, complete with cardio-filled dances that would make even the most advanced zumba instructor blush, he says.

She trains for an hour to five times a week, focusing on different body parts each time, Dodd says.

”I think as we grow and mature, we start lossing muscle and start aching,” Lopez writes. The more strength we can get inour body by lifting is really something that makes me feel strong, able and empowered. That along with stretching and staying limber and mobile are the most important things. She says.
